energy-saving measure of the local community
In November 2022, the local council unanimously decided to reduce street lighting in the local community due to energy-saving measures. A working group has now been working and has made a selection of which lanterns will be switched off in the near future. These street lamps were marked with a so-called lantern ring. (see illustration in the appendix) I would like to expressly mention that the working group took into account road safety, bus stops, junction areas and access routes to the kindergarten. The measure was mainly carried out in traffic-calmed areas. In addition, one light will be switched off on street lamps with two lampshades in the future. In total, we will take 33 street lamps off the grid in the local community of Schwedelbach-Pörrbach, which means a saving of around 25% in energy. This will also save the community around €4,000 in costs annually. In the calendar year 2023, the local council will deal with the switch to LED street lighting so that we can make a long-term contribution to climate protection. local mayor Henning Schaumlöffel
